The celebration on July 2nd, 2016 will be ushering in the world class performances and entertainment that will soon be a part of the fabric of the Northern Michigan region.
Thanks to the hard work of the Great Lakes Centre for the Arts, the 500 seat facility will offer the highest caliber arts performances in all genres of music, dance, theatre, film, intellectual dialogue and arts educations programs.
The registered non-profit arts centre will be open year-round, and will be inviting collaboration with various other arts organizations across the region to ensure a full and festive array of artistic events throughout the year.
Not only will the facility house exquisite arts experiences, it will also include a multipurpose space for major events and a rooftop deck and lounge that overlooks stunning Lake Michigan. This is truly a showcase facility that matches the unsurpassed beauty of the Northern Michigan landscape.
The groundbreaking ceremony is planned for July 2, 2016 at 5pm until 6pm. All are welcome to join us for a community celebration at 800 Bay Harbor Drive.
The full facility is expected to be open in June of 2018.
