Our hats off to the famous Legs Inn in Cross Village, a popular destination with all who travel to Northern Michigan! They recently received a nod as one of 14 “Great Michigan Eats” by The Detroit Free Press.  The feature appeared in the paper’s Michigan Section and was titled “You Haven’t Lived Here Until…You’ve Sampled a Michigan Smorgasbord.”

From Hearthside Grove, Legs Inn is a gorgeous drive along the bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, and is a favorite activity by car or motorcycle. Virginia Lee Burton once wrote a book about a little house in the country that lost its beautiful environs overtime to urban squalor. 

In the tale, the little house is handed down generation by generation, until its beautiful pink facade is covered in grime and its soaring view of the landscape is towered over by skyscrapers. 

Enter the house movers, who lift the little house off its foundations and move it out into the country once again, to live a happily ever after in the wide open spaces where birds sing in gorgeous trees that cast their shadows over rolling brooks…a scene that could be taken right out of Hearthside Grove’s recent history, where J&R Building Movers, Inc. have rolled their trucks in with not one but two bungalows for settling onto their foundations in the still-warm November sunshine, snuggling in just in time for a long winter’s nap.

Perusing the Liberty Coach Times newsletter, we were interested to learn that they’re celebrating their “New Front End” with Prevost’s high-efficiency projector headlights.  The headlights “feature special lenses that broaden the range of vision” which translates into better visibility in rainy or foggy conditions.  The headligths are made from polycarbonate making them more resistant to stones and they offer LED directional signals for enhanced safety.
