The Roots of Hearthside Grove ~ A Tale of Two Brothers
The history of Hearthside begins with two brothers, developers Craig and Kirk Rose. Native to Petoskey, this dynamic duo is well-schooled in the need to appreciate and preserve the beauty and natural environment of northern Michigan with its many lakes and waterways, its stunning viewscapes over rolling hills and forests, and the thriving culture unfolding in its midst.
Craig and Kirk have had a rather unique and rich training to their current project through work with their parents Wayne and Lorene Rose in several successful family businesses, and they are no strangers to the RV industry. The Rose family built the local KOA campground in the early 1990s and developed this well-loved Petoskey destination into one of the consistently top-ranked and award-winning campgrounds in the nation, in both service and quality as well as in attention to the environment. The KOA Campground was an exciting challenge after their work with Kilwin's Chocolates, which the Rose's developed into a successful, national franchise familiar to and loved by resorters across the country.
Craig and Kirk are thrilled with the opportunity to take this further step in developing the motorcoach lifestyle, a lifestyle they have lived and known and loved, as it gives them the chance to provide the same high quality service that their extensive community has come to associate with their endeavors. And to do all this in the Little Traverse Bay area - a place that is as inviting as their resort is luxurious - is, well, a dream come true.
With Hearthside Grove, Craig and Kirk take their reputation for quality amenities a giant step further, offering a leisure resort property commensurate with the natural wonder of its environment. A resort that is not only unique, but that intends to change the way the RV industry experiences motorcoach destinations. With this five-star resort, Craig and Kirk are providing an upscale experience for owners while sharing all that the Little Traverse Bay Area of northern Michigan has to offer.
