Petoskey, Michigan

History buffs can spend time at the Little Traverse History Museum for exhibits on Ernest Hemingway and a rich lesson on the local community.

Outdoor Adventure

Petoskey offers a wide variety of outdoor activities including canoeing, boating, sailing, fishing, golfing and hiking in the warmer weather and skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating and ice fishing in the winter.

The area has five state parks: Petoskey, Burt Lake, Fisherman’s Island, Young and Wilderness. Most offer swimming, picnicking, hiking and boating.

Petoskey is home to numerous award-winning championship golf courses. Choose from any number of these 9 or 18-hole picturesque golf sites.

Nightlife

If you’re looking for some excitement, head over to the new Odawa Casino Resort. The gaming floor has 1,500 slot machines, 35 table games and a poker room.

Live entertainment is regularly offered in the lower level of Stafford’s Perry Hotel. Or catch a live band and dancing at City Park Grill, Leo’s Lounge and Upstairs Club.

The Crooked Tree Arts Center and Little Traverse Civic Theatre provide a captivating schedule of musical and theatrical productions throughout the year.
